Our client is a large international main contractor heavily involved in the construction of Data Centers. As the main contractor on these projects, they build them as a complete package from enabling/civil works through structural build, M&E installation, and commissioning to final client handover.

They are currently seeking a Health and Safety Adviser for a Data Center under construction in Newcastle.

The salary for the role will depend on your level of experience

Duties

Conducting regular, formal site audits and carrying out inspections.
Ensuring that record of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and plant equipment;
Delivering Health & Safety induction programs for new employees or contractors working on-site;
Serving as Client representative at Site Meetings;
Organising and chairing the Safety Meetings for staff and Sub-Contractors personnel;
Ensuring sub-contractor safety statements and required Method statement are available on site.

Assess sub-contractor statements and method statements, assisting where required;
Advising / assisting Site Management in drafting and communicating Method Statements;
Carry out risk assessments and ensure risks are reduced.

Requirements:

Health and Safety Cert, Diploma or Degree is essential,
With 5+ years of experience.
Previous experience managing safety on-site with the Main Contractor.
Excellent communication, leadership, training, and presentation skills.
Experience in the construction industry.
