Jr H&S Officer

Position:- Junior Heath & Safety Officer

Location:- Co. Kerry

Salary:- €40K - €45K DOE

Our client a Tier 1 main contractor require a Junior Health & Safety Advisor to provide broad range H&S support, creating a safety culture across the entire site ensuring that best in class health, safety is planned, implemented and improved effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the H&S Manager/Advisor during audits/inspections.
• Assist with incident investigation.
• Together with a senior member of staff attend Start Up meetings site teams.
• Where requested attend other meetings with Client and/or supply chain.
• Keep up to date with legislation and interpretations thereof.
• Contribute to the training regime on site: induction, TBTs and Lunch & Learns

Experience & Skills

• Some experience or exposure to construction activity.
• Basic communication and presentation skills.
• Punctuality.
• Organised & Methodical
• Inquisitive

Required Qualifications/Training

• Health and Safety Qualification of at least Certificate level.
• Circa 1 yrs experience of working on a construction site.
