Job Description:
MEP Manager has responsibility for the delivery of MEP systems across designated large and or multiple smaller scale projects that area on time, on budget and meet the companies Zero objectives of safety, Quality and Energy. Coordinate, oversee, and ensure the efficient installation and operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a specific focus on the Building Management System (BMS). Collaborate with various stakeholders, maintain quality standards, and prioritise safety and energy efficiency to meet project objectives.
 
  • Leadership and Tendering: Provide oversight in the tendering and awarding of MEP packages, aligning with contract pre-construction strategies. Take charge of MEP project delivery, guiding teams on Temporary Electrical requirements and offering leadership to ensure success.
  • Systems Design: Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to devise comprehensive MEP systems, including the Building Management System (BMS), for construction projects.
  • BMS Procurement and Quality Assurance: Select suitable BMS technologies and components in accordance with project requisites, cost-efficiency objectives, and budgetary constraints. Maintain oversight over inspections and testing procedures to ensure adherence to exacting installation standards and optimal operational capabilities.
  • Coordination and Integration: Oversee the integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and BMS systems by liaising with subcontractors and trade professionals.
  • Commissioning Leadership and Issue Resolution: Leadership of the commissioning process, fine-tuning MEP systems and BMS functionality to attain peak performance levels prior to project finalisation. Identify and address issues arising within MEP systems and the BMS during the construction phase.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain meticulous documentation encompassing MEP system specifications, installation records, and BMS configurations for future reference and compliance purposes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety codes and regulations governing MEP installations, thereby fostering a secure work environment and mitigating compliance-related risks.
  • Client Engagement: Function as the principal liaison point for clients or building proprietors, providing progress updates, addressing concerns promptly, and sustaining client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
 
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years in MEP, BMS, and Project Management.
  • Proficiency in Building Management Systems (BMS) platforms,
  • Strong coordination, budget management, and timeline skills.
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety standards
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
