Location: Oslo, Norway
Our client is a large design and build Construction company who specialized in Data Centers in the Nordic region from the design process to enabling/civil works through structural build, M&E installation, and commissioning to final client handover.
They work closely with a group of partners throughout their entire supply chain including the design process thus giving them more control over the entire delivery process.
The company is headquartered in Norway with multiple regional offices in the Nordics.
They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer/Lead to join their team with the view to expand the role as the company expands aggressively.
You should be excellent technically across all spectrums of the Mech Design discipline and be able to quickly conceptualize design solutions. You will work in closely with a senior electrical design lead
Role:
• Based in Oslo you will reporting directly to the Chief Design/Engineering Officer you will assist in the development of leading-edge design solutions for the DC environment.
• You will have 10 -15 years’ experience preferably with experience in data centres but experience in similar High tech industrial, processing or pharma design projects essential
• Experience within the DC HVAC, BIM and CFD environment, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in addition to be able to trouble shoot any Mech design issues experienced in the field.
• Technically comfortable in Face-to-Face mtgs with Client technical leads
• Experienced with application of European/UK codes and standards.
• Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects on scope, budget and schedule. Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines. Incorporate schedules, budgets and project criteria into physical design and layouts.
• Prepare and/or review and provide guidance on technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
• As the position develops to mentor and supervise engineers and designers.
Remuneration:
This is a permanent salaried role although a long term contract will also be considered. The company is flexible regarding conditions but the package will include accommodation/transport/medical/flights/bonus etc.
This is an important role within the company to support its future expansion and the salary that will be offered will reflect this and the suitability/experience of the candidate.
