Alpine Recruitment is seeking an experienced MEP -PLANNER for an established T1 Contractor in Dublin, Ireland. Our client has been to the fore in the construction of various flagship projects throughout Ireland and abroad including sports stadiums, healthcare facilities, airports, motorways, and hi-tec/pharma/datacentres.

Job Description:
Efficiently coordinate the integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, adhering to meticulous planning processes. Foster effective communication and collaboration with project stakeholders. Leverage technical expertise to align project specifications for a streamlined workflow and a successful project execution. Data Centre project.

Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and timelines. Ensure that mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are aligned with project specifications and blueprints.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed schedules for MEP installation, ensuring that timelines are met, and resources are allocated efficiently. Monitor progress regularly and adjust schedules as necessary to address any delays or issues.
  • Budget Management: Assist in estimating costs associated with MEP systems and track expenditures throughout the project. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that MEP installations meet industry standards and project specifications. Conduct inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of MEP plans, schedules, budgets, and changes. Prepare reports for project stakeholders, highlighting progress and potential risks.
  • Coordination with Subcontractors: Collaborate with subcontractors responsible for MEP installations to ensure a smooth workflow. Address any conflicts or issues that may arise during the project.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to MEP systems. Ensure that all installations meet these requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to MEP systems and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in MEP planning and coordination within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software, CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD or Revit), cost estimation software, and other industry-specific applications.
  • Competency in utilising software and tools relevant to MEP planning and coordination, enabling efficient data management, collaboration, and project analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities to manage complex project requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
