Quality & Environmental Manager

QA/QC&E Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all project teams operations are carried out in
accordance with the Employer and JV procedures and manuals. 

Must be experienced in the development and implementation of project specific Quality Programs,
through all project phases (design, procurement, construction and commissioning), which align with
ISO9001-2015 requirements.
Must be experienced in the development and implementation of project specific Environmental Plan,
align with ISO14001:2015
Will monitor and report on the implementation of the Quality Program through surveillance and formal
audit activities.
Will monitor and report on the implementation of the Environmental Plan
Will ensure that the facility provide is fit for the purpose which it is design for and meets both external
and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.
Coordinates the activities required to meet quality standards.



Advises on the performance of the quality/environmental management system, produce data, and
report on performance, measuring against set indicators. Liaises with other managers and staff throughout the project team to ensure that the QA/QC system is
functioning properly.

Where appropriate, advise on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and
techniques to enable others to achieve quality & environmental. Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
Setting QA/QC and Environmental compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved;
Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control
Preparation the audit schedule and assign appropriate resources to fulfil the program (internally and with
subcontractors, if necessary)
Manage environmental & quality training delivery, and deliver toolbox talks to all staff and
Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer
Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation;
Consider the application of environmental and health and safety standards;
Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply;
Defining quality procedures in conjunction with project staff;
Set-up and maintain controls and documentation procedures;
Identify relevant quality and environmental related training needs and delivering training where required
Collate and analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters;
Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that modifications
are investigated if necessary;
Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks;
Write technical and management systems reports;
Bring together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree
comprehensive quality procedures;
 Persuade reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods;
Liaising with ‘customers' auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with
customers' specifications
Prepare clear explanatory documents and presentations as needed
Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
Identify Environmental Contract requirements as well as laws, regulation requirements and permits
Report and investigate all environmental incidents, including complaints from local communities or other
interested parties
Ensure legal compliance on environmental matters

Must be suitably qualified with a minimum of 7 years’ experience, with 5 years in the role of Quality
Assurance/Quality Control & Environmental Management for large building construction projects with
proven record of accomplishment.
Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering or any other relevant degree
Up to date on relevant ISO standards 9001 and 14001.
Experience in residential and commercial projects Flexibility to travel between site: Galway and Cork
Strong IT skills: Microsoft Office packages, Aconex, ASITE, BIM 360.
