Our client is a client focused Project Management group engaged in multiple sectors including high end commercial/ residential and government/semi state projects.

Their scope of works can also include the cost control and contract/commercial management of projects on behalf on their clients in conjunction with the project management of these projects.

Role:

They currently have a vacancy for a quantity surveyor to join their team on a series of design/build new education projects in various locations in Ireland.

The position can be office based either in Dublin or Wexford but their will be a requirement to attend site meetings also.

The company are open to receiving applicants from a non PQS background as there is significant post contract aspects to the role.

You will report to a lead senior quantity surveyor within the company and also work closely with the team of project managers assigned to the project.

This role could potentially be an opportunity for a quantity surveyor who wants to develop their career in a project management direction in the future.

Requirements:

Although you will work under the supervision of a senior quantity surveyor within the company you will also be expected to use your own initiative and experience.

The preferred candidate will have in excess of 5 years’ experience wither with a PQS company or with a main contractor.

You will have a third level qualification

Experience on government or semi state projects would obviously be an advantage but not essential

The position will pay an attractive salary which is dependent on experience with pension, mileage allowance and other benefits.
