Quantity Surveyor

O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our Client. Our client is a leading construction company who specialise in infrastructure & fit outs, with various ongoing projects across the country.

The Quantity Surveyor will be based on a building project in Galway.

The successful candidate must have 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, a Quantity Surveying Degree or working towards chartership with SCS & have experience working on Commercial or Health Care Projects desired.

Quantity Surveyor duties include:

• Preparing tender and contract documents
• Negotiating and purchasing of sub-contractors, subsequent account management and final agreement.
• Cost preparations, final accounts, cost analysis subcontractor management, variations, valuations interpret contract and ensure the best interest of the project
• Manage and report on financial performance of allocated projects.
• Performing risk, value management and cost control
• Attend site progress and cost meetings and liaising with sub-contractors

Quantity Surveyor requirements are:

• Qualification in Quantity surveying, engineering or construction management.
• 5+ Years’ Experience in Quantity surveying with a main contractor
• Experience working on Health care or Commercial projects desired
• Thorough knowledge of legislation and building regulations
• Excellent at budget management and punctual with reporting deadlines.
