The role of BID Writer is an exciting opportunity to progress a career within the construction industry. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for writing and completing high quality Pre-Qualification documents and assisting in the general management of tender responses.

What you will be doing
  • Managing the ETenders Portal including reviewing Etender opportunities daily
  • Preparing and producing PQQ submissions
  • Managing and Updating the Bid Library
  • Coordinating with Contract/Project Managers regarding production of technical submissions
  • Generating and submitting documentation to address the qualification requirements in pre-set company formats
  • Address any queries or clarifications raised by the awarding body
  • Following up on submissions and updating management on results
  • Attending Business Development meeting and internal meetings
  • Bid Management of Technical Submissions / Supporting in the production of Technical Submissions for tenders
  • Updating the company website and social media portals
  • Supporting the Managing Director in marketing brochure’s and expression documents for private clients to demonstrate the company’s skills and experience
  • Supporting the Managing Director in Business Development and searching available sources for new contacts and business connections to grow the current client data base
  • Supporting the EHSQ Director in maintaining accreditations
  • Other Business Development and Marketing duties as they arise
What you need to be successful
  • A third level qualification in a construction related course or business
  • Experience in a similar role with a construction company would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent technical writing
  • Proficient Computer skills in Microsoft suite including PowerPoint, Publisher and software for production of marketing material
  • An eye for details and a flair for production of marketing material
  • Proactive and go getter
  • A team player and be comfortable working as a team and be able to clearly communicate within the team
