The Role Involves:
Project planning, project management, monitoring the contractors progress in respect to programme and ensuring milestones are achieved. Managing costs, risks, health & safety and compliance. Maintaining accurate records and generating timely reports. Liaising with the many and diverse stakeholders including; local authorities, land owners, etc.
To be considered for the role you must:
Be Degree (level 8) qualified Engineer, Project Manager (or similar) OR hold a recognised qualification in Safety.
Have more than 5 years post graduate experience in civil / rail infrastructure design and construction (earthworks, roads, rail, pipelines, telecoms, etc).
Have relevant project management experience.
Have strong communications, negotiation and influencing skills.
Be competent and professional in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have thorough knowledge of health & safety regulations and legislation.
Have good knowledge of construction contracts.
Have a proven ability to manage and control agreed budgets and timelines.
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Have experience dealing with Local Authorities and Government Bodies.
Have excellent communications and team management skills.
Ideally you will:
Have experience in rail infrastructure construction.
Have experience in the role of; Project Manager / Project Engineer / Resident Engineer.
Be a chartered engineer.
Be a competent records keeper.
Have strong IT skills and report writing skills.
Remuneration is negotiable depending on the experience, suitability and fit of the candidate, however, the ideal candidate can expect c €85,000 per annum.
37 hour working week (5 days mon-fri) 25 days annual leave.
