Senior Executive Engineer
Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council performs a significant role in shaping the strategic vision of the County. It provides a diverse, comprehensive and evolving range of services to citizens, businesses and visitors to the County which include the provision of housing, planning, development, environmental, transportation, leisure and community services. The corporate headquarters are located at County Hall in Dun Laoghaire town. Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has 40 elected members and approximately 1300 staff.
Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council was established in 1994 and in located between the suburbs of Dublin City and the Dublin mountains; with its 17km of coastline, harbour, attractive towns and villages alongside communities where residents and visitors enjoy some of the best natural amenities in Ireland. It also has the benefit of unparalleled access to public transport, employment opportunities, leisure facilities, education, shopping and an attractive public realm. An opportunity now exists in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for the position of Senior Executive Engineer.
The Senior Executive Engineer will be required the lead a team or teams and to provide technical and managerial support acrosss all local authority service areas and to liaise with external agencies and support the democratic process.
The Senior Executive Engineer will be required to work closley with the Senior Leadership Team and Elected Members to deliver the full range of services, implement local policy decisions, manage capital projects and deliver on strategic corporate objectives and in accordance with the general policy direction of the elected council. They may also be required to deputise for the Senior Engineer.
